HOW FINLAND DEFEATED FASCISM

I produced, wrote, shot, and hosted this video for Vox.com

When I joined Vox, this was the kind of video I was most psyched on making: a historical explainer about a (seemingly) random and tiny moment in history. In this case: 1930s Finland.

I had an ungodly amount of fun researching interwar Finland and the rise (and most importantly: fall) of its short-lived fascist movement.

In particular, Finland turns out to have the most in-depth and well organized archival photo database I've ever seen. I had so much fun diving into the records to put together this story.
